Summer Lovin’

Should we plan? Should we not?

I’m a control freak. A control freak who deserves a medal this year for not being able to plan every inch of our lives. I can confidently say, I’m less of a control freak after the least 10 months. So thanks COVID – not something I’d thought I’d be doing.

Really I should start this with ‘I’m an ex-control freak’ shouldn’t I?

However, Summer is causing me problems. In fact, holidays in general are causing me problems.
Clare is 40 in April. We’d planned to tour the Hebrides for 2 weeks. Should I risk booking ferries? Will Scotland let us in? May half term, we’ve only been to our static in Abersoch once in 12 months – will the Welsh have decided we’re ok? and don’t get me started on summer…

We don’t plan on going abroad until 2022. Just to be on the safe side. U.K. campsites are booking up fast. I need to decide where we want to explore. Ordinarily, there’s so much choice at this time of year. But we’re so limited already.

Our brief is always so restricting….dog friendly, child friendly, by the sea, close walk to amenities, allows campervans, electric hook up. Dates fit with William’s time with his Dad. Oh yeah William has a Dad by the way, it wasn’t a miraculous conception.

Any suggestions are welcome – not on William’s Dad dates, they’re pretty fixed. But on all other potentials…
